The 8th annual NOWHERE Design Conference, by the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, is an event to make friends, talk design, be inspired, and enjoy the company of other creatives. All conference activities are FREE and open to the public except the two all-day workshops

Of particular interest to this group is the Sustainable Design lecture by Modern Species, from 1-3pm on Friday, March 2nd, 2012.

Gage Mitchell is the founder and principle designer at Modern Species in Seattle, WA. Modern Species provides sustainable branding and design for organic food & beverage companies as well as natural personal care products. Gage’s goal is to destroy the crunchy granola stereotype of the organic industry by creating sexy, premium organic brands that appeal to a broad range of consumers, not just modern day hippies.
