Recycled Newspapers for Interior Design Let You Read Between the Walls

by Core77 on Friday, July 23, 2010 in Features

Newsworthy is the name Weitzner Limited’s rather amazing wallcovering made from, you guessed it, recycled newspapers.

Using an age-old technology of upcycling old newspapers, 100% real newsprint strips are handwoven on a loom and then paperbacked to make Newsworthy suitable for the wall.

Maintenance-wise it can be vacuumed off for cleaning, but like real newspapers, it’s not guaranteed against fading; being constantly exposed to sunlight might cause it to yellow. But either way it’s a damn sight prettier than the average New Yorker’s newspaper decorating solution: We typically just crumple up the sheets and use them to adorn our streets.
