Michel Gelobter is one of the country’s leading climate strategists, having worked for more than 25 years as a regulator, policy-maker, researcher, and thought leader on environmental and social issues. As President of Redefining Progress, the U.S.’s leading sustainability policy institute, he led its participation in designing the world’s most aggressive climate legislation, guided the formation of the Climate Justice Corps, and oversaw the creation of MyFootprint.org, a website serving over two million unique visitors a month. Michel is also a member of the Clinton Global Initiative and serves on the boards of the Alliance for Climate Protection, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and CERES, among others. Most recently, he founded Cooler, a for-profit social venture that enables businesses and people to eliminate the global warming impact of their everyday purchases and activities.
