Green is not the only color: The sustainable design rainbow

AIGA Los Angeles and the PMCA present:
Sustainable design. Sounds green, but what does in mean to graphic design? Use less paper? Make a banner about trees? Create a community? Use your skills to change a social condition? Confusion still abounds, so let’s get a better understanding of the many ways and forms in which sustainability might take place in design — or even become a design practice.

The graphic design selections of the California Design Biennial Action/Reaction, currently on view at Pasadena Museum of California Art, point to a range of options. Come take a look at the show and then participate in a conversation with curator, Louise Sandhaus, designer, Derrick Schultz, designer, and The Living Principles architect, Gaby Brink, (both AIGA national board members) and a diverse range of California design practitioners trying to make a difference.
