MemberScott Boylston is the author of three books, including his most recent “Designing Sustainable Packaging,” and a book of poems on worldwide environmental degradation. He is a professor of Design for Sustainability and Graphic Design at SCAD, and co-author of the masters in Design for Sustainability. Scott has been writing fiction since the early 1990s, with over a dozen short stories published in some of the country's most respected literary journals. He's also published numerous articles on design, ethics and sustainability, and speaks internationally on these topics, and has shown his poster designs and artwork in exhibitions around the country.
Scott is director and co-founder of Emergent Structures, a non-profit organization dedicated to the innovative reclamation of building materials through community collaboration. He is currently on the Georgia State Board of Directors for the US Green Building Council, the steering Committee for Healthy Savannah, and a member of the Chatham Environmental Forum.
